What date did you get married?
Which venue did you use?
The Woodlands at Hothorpe Hall, Theddingworth, Leicetershire.
How many guests did you have?
15 as this was the restriction at the time.
Was this your original date or had you postponed already?
We had postponed 3 times prior to our December wedding!
Did you live stream or have anyone waiting outside the venue?
We didn’t live stream but my sister sent photos and videos throughout the day to our friends, who couldn't be with us on the day.
What was your favourite part of the day?
My favourite part was finally getting to walk down the isle (which actually was the part I was dreading the most due to nerves!) it was the best feeling walking to a special song to us and seeing all my family and jack waiting at the top!
Was there anything you did specially as it was a smaller wedding (that you wouldn't have done with more guests)?
We were able to give wedding favour boxes which included personalised hand sanitiser, face masks, candles, flower seeds and other little goodies which was really nice to spoil our guests a little more. We also had personalised Lego figures to look like the children which went down well! Jack was able to thank everyone individually within his speech which made it feel a lot more personal.
What advice would you give anyone looking at going ahead with a micro wedding?
Hand on heart I would tell them to go for it if they had been debating it. It was so special to finally get our day and have our close loved ones there to celebrate it alongside us. We now also have a honey moon to look forward to when we can get away and another celebration with friends when we can ☺️
Sarah's Wedding Dress
Sarah wore the beautiful Samantha gown by Wilderly, having brought her date forward we managed to get her dress delivery date moved forward and we ended up fitting her gown 2 weeks before the wedding, and one of our fabulous talented seamstresses (AKA mum) modified the neckline to make it perfect for Sarah.
"I purchased my dress from this boutique and from start to finish I cannot emphasise enough how amazing they were. They are so welcoming and such a lovely family that put you at ease from the moment you walk in with something that could be very daunting.
Nothing is too much trouble and I was given endless amounts of advice not only about dresses but weddings in general. With the pandemic I needed my dress delivery/alterations sped up so I could get married sooner and they went above and beyond to make this happen. The range of dresses is absolutely stunning.
It’s a real shame that I won’t have to use this amazing company again, but for any bride to be who is reading this, please use this boutique - you won’t be disappointed.
Thank you so much to all of you.
